Getting excited about trip

I am getting so excited about our trip to Williamsburg, Virginia for our family reunion and on to Princeton, West Virginia for the Johnston reunion. I find myself unable to settle down and really do anything I roam around the house in Mesquite going from project to project. I have just had a wonderful experience however. Penny and Jeff and the kids came down on Thursday and then Penny and Jeff continued on the Las Vegas to celebrate their anniversary. I was able to have Justin, Katy and Isabelle all to myself for a couple of days. I was in Grandmother paradise. I had a great time taking them swimming, to movies and out to lunches and dinners. We checked out all of Mesquite the first 30 minutes and the rest of the times we spent enjoying what Mesquite has to offer. I had a wonderful time with 3 of my amazing grandchildren. I am such a lucky Grandmother because I have 22 of the most beautiful, fantastic, grandchildren in the world.

Jones Family Reunion

The Jones Family Reunion in Heise, Idaho is over! Yea! I really had a good time planning the reunion and it went off just fine thanks to all the help from my wonderful girls that helped so much. Thanks also to Barbara Earle who was there to help me shop when Steve got an order for product at the last minute and deserted me on the day we were supposed to do the shopping. Thanks also Jeff and Penny for sharing your wonderful toy hauler. What a wonderful way to camp!!! Thanks also for doing all the dishes that you did. The next event is Adrianne's baptism in Preston and then traveling to Provo for the Stadium of Fire to see Katy and Isabelle dance. After that just a few days before the trip back east to see Morgan and Katie's apartment and attend the Johnston Reunion. I am so pleased that Eva, Nathan, Joshua, Noah, Penny, Katy, Isabelle, Morgan and Katie are attending with me. Next year I am excited that we are planning to have our own reunion in the east before attending the Johnston Reunion.

Morgan and Stephanie got we busy again. Hopefully with Morgan's short cut to blogging I will be here more often. We leave for Hawaii at 7:10 A.M. Saturday Morning. I really don't like the long trip over the ocean but I'm excited to go. Our next door neighbors, the Taylors are going with us. More when we get back with a report of the trip.

trip to Colorado

We were able to go on vacation to Colorado in August. We spent a night with Eva and Nathan on each end of our week in Pagosa Springs. We had a great visit with them each time and got to watch some of the summer olympics with them. Josh is, of course, wonderful. He looks and acts older than his just barely one.
We had a great time at a condo on a golf course and lake in Pagosa Springs. The highlight of the time in Pagosa Springs was the train ride from Durango to Silverton. It was amazing and at times really scarey. We took 2 1/2 hours to travel the 50 miles each direction. The scenery was unbelievable. It was a great experience.

blogging try

I am in Logan with Morgan, Katie and Stephanie. We went to dinner and they talked me into setting up a blog. Now lets see if I can figure out how to do it when I'm on my own. This may be my one and only time. I will enjoy checking out all of the blogs.
